EducationUSA Academy at Temple University

For high school students 15 to 17 years old.

Temple University in partnership with EducationUSA is proud to offer this summer program for 15 to 17 year old students to improve their English competency, explore the arts in America's first World Heritage City, and learn the American university admissions process. Join high school students from around the world while you explore Philadelphia's outdoor music and arts festivals, extensive public art, and some of the greatest cultural treasures in the world – all while immersing yourself in English. Students improve reading, writing, listening and speaking; participate in university admissions workshops; learn how to write a college application essay; speak with professors; sit in on university classes; visit other universities; and so much more.

Track 1: English & the Arts

Learn about university admission, take workshops at Tyler School of Art and more.

Track 2: University Experience

Learn about American college expectations, sit in on Temple University classes and more.

Students in both tracks will:
  • take a day trip to New York City and visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art or attend an off-Broadway performance.
  • tour Philadelphia’s large collection of public art.
  • participate in an art exhibition created by Temple University’s Tyler School of Art.
  • spend the day on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey.
