Integrated English Skills
Improve your listening & speaking skills to build you confidence in the classroom, at conferences & while presenting.

Writing Intensive
Become a better write through focused writing assignments that will improve your grammar, vocabulary and structure, as well as prepare you for successful writing at the university level.

Surviving University
Learn about university life, expectations, and culture. Become familiar with Temple's services and facilities, and meet students, staff and professors from across the campus.

General Education Support Class
Designed to support your critical reading skills and overall success in the 3-credit general education class all CAP 2 students enroll in.

EDUC 0819 Teens & Tweens
(General Education class, 3 university credits) Students will:

  • explore the teen and pre-teen years of human development
  • use literature, TV, film and articles to explore growth from children, to teens to adults.
Conditional Admission Level 3

Presentation & Pronunciation
Prepare for university success by improving your pronunciation, practicing formal presentations, and building confidence when speaking in front of a large group.

Reading Intensive
Prepare for university course expectations by improving critical reading skills and participate in robust classroom discussions.

General Education Support Class
Designed to support your critical reading skills and overall success in the 3-credit general education class all CAP 3 students enroll in.

ENG 0711 Support Class
Designed to support your writing skills and overall success in the 4-credit Academic Discourse & Analysis class all CAP 3 students enroll in.

ENG 0711 Academic Discourse & Analysis
General Education class, 4 university credits) Students will:

  • focus on writing to develop summary and textual support skills 
  • build oral participation skills and develop fluency

ENG 0837 Eating Cultures

  • use literature, cookbooks and ads to explore how food creates individual and global relationships
