One Enrichment Class to focus on a skill or topic that interests you. Choose from a variety of classes from test preparation to English for STEM to American Idioms. Classes are offered for all levels, beginning to advanced. Different classes are offered each session.

Integrated English - Listening & Speaking
Improve your speaking and listening skills to build your confidence interacting in English in the classroom, at conferences, and while presenting. Students will:
- use lessons in speaking and listening comprehension to enhance interaction skills
- develop fluency, improve vocabulary and increase accuracy
- at higher levels, practice analytical discourse and debate
Writing Intensive
Become a better writer through focused writing assignments that will improve your grammar, vocabulary, and composition. Students will:
- practice skills to write accurately
- use reading passages as models to learn and build skills
- build knowledge and use of appropriate grammar
Reading Intensive
Build your reading skills, vocabulary, and critical thinking to be better prepared for texts you will encounter in the classroom and everyday life. Students will:
- develop skills to read a range of texts for various purposes
- build high-frequency and academic vocabulary
- practice critical thinking and analytical skills
ADVANCED LISTENING WORKSHOP, TCALC Levels: 6 - 10
Develop your listening skills by reviewing and analyzing popular English-language podcasts. Students will:
- learn how to improve their English using podcasts.
- report on podcast episodes which they will find and choose on their own.
- create and present their own podcast episode.
- practice their skills in our weekly “Chatting with Americans” session.
UNIVERSITY LIFE AND CULTURE, TCALC Levels: 4 - 7
Improve your speaking and listening skills while exploring Temple’s campus, university life and American culture. Students will:
- Meet Temple University professors, advisors, and students
- Visit university classes
- Gain a deeper understanding of the similarities and differences between Americans and their home country.
- Gather in the classroom for discussions on videos, readings and journal writing
EVERYDAY ENGLISH VOCABULARY, TCALC Levels: 1 - 4
Develop your English vocabulary and communication for everyday life. Students will:
- Use a picture dictionary to study useful vocabulary for daily life such as transportation, shopping, education, dining and describing people.
- Learn and practice sentences a for daily routines.

The levels are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Our levels range from A1 equivalent to C1 equivalent.
