1. I don’t know my level and I don’t have a proficiency score. 

 

No problem! Just register for a TCALC online class and we will help you get your language level. We will also make sure you are enrolled in the right class for your level. 

 

2. How do I know if I have the right equipment (computer, Wi-Fi, etc.)? 

 

That’s easy! Just click here and follow the steps to check your equipment.

 

3. I’m not sure if an online class is right for me. Can I sample an online lesson? 

 

Of course! Click here and sign up for a trial lesson with one of our amazing teachers! 

 

4. What online meeting platform do you use? 

 

We use Zoom! Once you register for a class, we will make sure you understand how to access this user-friendly platform.

 

5. Will I get a grade or certificate at the end of the class? 

 

Yes! You can receive a transcript of your grade and a certificate upon request.

 

6. Will these classes help me to become a matriculated student at Temple University? 

 

Well, it depends. Successful completion of the Intensive English Language Program meets the language requirement for admission to Temple University. Contact our team to learn more! 

 

7. Is there anyone that can help me decide which class is best for me?

8. Do you offer scholarships? 

 

You’re in luck! Our online class prices include our generous TCALC Cares Scholarship to help during these difficult times.

 

9. When can I study in person? 

 

Good question! TCALC is offering limited in-person classes for Fall 1 2020 (August 31 - October 6). Check in with us again for plans to reopen for in-person instruction.

 

10. What if I’m not happy with my class? Can I change it? 

 

Yes. Course changes must be requested before the end of Thursday of the first week. We will honor requests for changes of Enrichment classes, and requests to be placed in a lower level for Core classes.

 

11. How much time will I spend in my class every week? 

 

It will depend on the class you choose. Click here for class dates and times.

 

12. How will I communicate with my teacher if my English level is low?

 

Don’t worry! Our instructors have experience teaching students of all levels and will be able to communicate with you in a way that you will understand.

 

13. Will I interact with other students?

 

Yes! You will interact with students from all over the world.
